What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy helps people affected by injury, illness or disability to restore movement and function. It is a science based profession and takes a holistic approach to health and well being which includes the patient's general lifestyle.
Physiotherapy is not a passive treatment. It is important the patient is involved in their own
care through education and awareness. It is likely you will be asked to do exercises at home in order to assist in your recovery and prevent recurrence.
Chartered Physiotherapists undergo three years of undergraduate training before being recognised by the HCPC.
